Graphic Designer

USAID BEST is seeking a candidate with strong design skills and creativity to join its communications team and design and produce a range of graphic material, including reports, invitations, banners and backdrops, social media graphics and more. Other related skills, including photography, video editing and animation are advantageous.

Responsibilites

The Graphic Designer will work within the communications team to develop designs for a range of materials and oversee print production as needed. The role involves the following:

  • Produce project communications material in accordance with USAID branding guidelines. This includes business cards, letterheads, banners, presentations, invitations, press kits and reports.

  • Design materials for events and stakeholders as needed, including invitations, backdrops, banners, brochures, signs, maps, training manuals, etc.

  • Present key information creatively, using infographics, PowerPoint and other formats to demonstrate project work and impacts

  • Liaise with printers for print production

  • Edit photographs and provide graphics for social media, the website, reports, etc.

  • Photograph project activities and maintain a project photograph library for easy access to photos.

Required skills

  • Degree in related field
  • At least three years of related work experience 
  • Strong command of graphic design software, including Adobe Suite, Illustrator, in addition to PowerPoint and others
  • Video editing skills is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English as well as Arabic
