JITOA holds power breakfast on Brazilian tourism market

The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) held a power breakfast today for the tourism industry on the potential of the Brazilian market for Jordanian tourism. Brazilian ambassador to Jordan, H.E Francisco Carlos Soares Luz, spoke about the potential for tourism that the Brazilian market has to offer, and JITOA and the Jordan Tourism Board provided further information on the market. 

The event was implemented with the support of USAID BEST, and was held at the Grand Millennium Hotel. This is the fourth in a series of power breakfasts held by JITOA shed light on various topics that concern and affect the tourism industry. Previous breakfasts supported by USAID BEST covered the tourism markets of France, Italy and Turkey. 

“These events are very educational and eye-opening regarding different segments of the market. I’ve been to 95 percent of the power breakfasts, and from every single one you will leave with some new idea,” said Ghada Najjar, Managing Director of Karma House, a Jordanian Destination Management Company.

According to Mai Hawamdeh, Inbound Manager for Refadah Travel and Tourism, another attendee, “These events help remind inbound operators of the possibilities in different markets. Operators are fairly decided on which markets they wish to appeal to, so sessions like this that focus on operator-preferred markets and outline different facts and statistics help create discussion of what can be done to better attract them, examining things like tourist age, travel distances, the mentality of the tourists, the nature of the group, and if they’re coming specifically for adventure, biblical or traditional tourist experiences.”
