Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism Project

Human resources and training managers from hotels around the country are participating in the USAID Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism Project (BEST)’s nationwide Pathways to Professionalism Scheme which is helping to empower hotels to recruit, select, train on the job and certify their own employees. BEST project is also supporting establishment of a Tourism Research Center that will lead to the institutionalization of data collection and analysis among the tourism trade in Jordan. BEST is providing the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities with support to initiate the update of the National Tourism Strategy for 2016-2020 in addition to many other initiatives that will enhance and strengthen Jordan’s tourism sector.
