Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism Project

May 2019

Jordan has been making a strong effort to improve its MICE offering and attract large-scale meetings, incentives, conferences and events, and this month the country was ranked second in the Middle East for hosting international association meetings. A new, state-of-the-art ‘Visit Jordan’ website was launched by the Jordan Tourism Board, presenting tourists and visitors with a comprehensive overview of the destination. Visitors to Aqaba can now experience the seaside city’s newest tourism offering at the Berenice Beach Club. The Al-Adham family in As-Salt opened their home to visitors, while local students painted their visions of As-Salt. Also, USAID BEST awarded a grant to the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts to improve its academic programs.
