Amman

USAID BEST, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Department of Statistics, kindly requests your presence at the upcoming symposium: ‘What is Tourism Worth to Jordan?’ Presenting Jordan Tourism Satellite Account and the International Tourism Visitor Survey (ITVS) 2017 Results. The symposium takes place on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11am at the InterContinental Hotel Amman.

Jordan’s Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) is a tool to accurately measure the contribution of tourism to the national economy. The TSA is produced through a collaboration between MoTA, DoS and the Central Bank of Jordan with USAID BEST support. During this event, the latest TSA will be presented to the tourism industry, giving an accurate calculation of the contribution of tourism to Jordan's GDP in 2017. The results of the 2017 International Tourism Visitor Survey will also be shared.

Symposium topics:

  • International Tourism Visitor Survey Results (ITVS)
  • Structure of a Tourism Satellite Account (TSA)
